At The Retriever Inn, I believe dogs deserve more than just a place to stay. They deserve care that feels familiar, space to breathe, and the comfort of a gentle, predictable routine. That belief is what led me to create a boarding experience inspired by Golden Retrievers, their calm presence, easygoing nature, and ability to make everything feel just a little more at ease.
As a lifelong dog lover (and proud Golden Retriever mom) who understands just how much trust it takes to leave your best friend in someone else’s care. Inspired by my own dogs and a very short list of people I’d trust them with, I set out to build a boarding experience rooted in calm routines and thoughtful, individualized care.
I'm a native Oregonian and longtime Central Oregon resident, proud to care for dogs in the place I love most. My heart belongs to the high desert, the open skies, and the Goldens who inspired it all.
The Inn is small by design. Every guest is cared for by me, with occasional support from a small, trusted circle, from early morning walks past the pastures to nightly room service and tuck-ins. I keep things intentionally simple: one rate, all the care, no upsells. My approach is rooted in transparency, individualized attention, and genuine affection.
I'm proud to offer Fear Free handling, enrichment-driven routines, and a stay experience designed to help guests feel safe, loved, and at ease, and to help their humans feel just as confident.
While many of our guests are Goldens, we welcome a small number of other dogs who fit seamlessly into this calm, curated environment.

Some places are built with blueprints. Ours started with paw prints. Jaxson and Atlas were the first to roam the fields, test the trails, and nap in the suites. They are not just part of the story; they are the reason it began.
From the way we care to the way we welcome, everything at The Retriever Inn was shaped by them and designed to warmly welcome the dogs who follow.

Jaxson
Born to fetch and built for leg scratches, Jax is our OG (Original Golden) and the reason I fell in love with the breed.
With a megawatt grin, he’s equal parts charm, drive, and don’t-forget-to-scratch-my-inner thigh energy.
Jax lives for farm strolls, treats, and greeting every human like a long-lost friend. He’s carries himself with full executive presence. Persistent, observant, and always convinced he’s in charge.
His job? Patrolling his pastures, managing tennis ball security, and making sure no snack goes unclaimed.
The Big Fluff
Atlas
Rescued from the streets of China (and promptly promoted from foster to forever, thanks to Golden Bond Rescue), Atlas is a soft-hearted, big-bodied Golden Retriever with more fluff than sense and more love than he knows what to do with.
Atlas is a devoted mama’s boy who won’t go anywhere without his emotional support human. He lives for sun naps, water, and being wherever Mom is at all times.
His job? Monitoring pond conditions and supervising snuggle distribution.
Atlas passed away in September 2025, but his presence is forever woven into the land, The Inn, and the heart behind it all.
